The recruitment stage for me came when I was told that I had to do Maths online. Although not computer literate, I could not resist the challenge. I found a new medium of learning, one that I will not trade for any other once it is available.
In today’s fast paced world I see online learning as the academic vehicle for success, and The UWI Open Campus is leading the way in the Caribbean. There are available support services at every level, including technical, student support, library assistance, online helpdesk and further support and guidance from e-Tutors, and Course Coordinators.

With the click of a button and a well-structured plan for success, The UWI Open Campus has shielded me from the hustle and aggravation that comes with travelling to and from the comfort of my home to the classroom where I have to compete with the high level of undisciplined students.
The disrespect that teachers faced on a daily basis was enough to deter me from going back to a face-to-face learning environment, and I am speaking of thirty-two-years ago. In today’s society, the situation has deteriorated to an all time low.
