The end of a long and successful career, You may release more than a tear.
So much passion and dedication,
You clearly deserve a long vacation. Working with you was always a pleasure, Your friendship is valued more than a treasure. Countless memories, over time we have shared, Every day you showed that you cared.
Just want to wish you only the best,
Lots of experiences, and plenty of rest. This simple poem is no fancy award,
We just hope, it hit the right chord.

Tribute to Mrs. Angela Kellman
Isn’t She Lovely! A QAU Tribute to Angela Kellman
There is a urry of activity and one of us needs to reach the busy PVC BUS urgently. Someone writes him an email and copies Mrs Kellman. Rest assured an answer will be
forthcoming soon. Another colleague pops in to see the PVC BUS but stops to chat with Ms Angela – rst! After the conversation with the PVC, it’s right back to Mrs Kellman to spend more time with this “genuinely sweet person”, who “makes work easier”. Someone else needs advice and is trying to track down the PVC BUS. A warm, calm voice lled with smiles answers the phone and a gentle presence is radiated across the miles. Rest assured the PVC will be found and a connection made.
Over time, Ms Angela came to know our voices and made us each feel special as she handled our varying requests with reassurance and care. Whether the matter is professional, personal or ticklish - rest assured Ms Angela, the soul of discretion and sensitivity, will handle with care and courtesy. Through life’s challenges, Ms Angela laughed heartily at herself and was strong. Struggles seemed never to get her down for long.
With a “youthful outlook” matched by a fabulous personal style – short and snazzy lilac tresses on which little pill box hats perched jauntily – we wonder when did retirement sneak up. Longer owing blue-grey strands with deep red nails and pearls complete a professional look that signalled her responsiveness and reliability. Her plants are her joy and the way they ourished around her it was apparent that she was their joy too. We dare anyone to neglect them! A desk drawer lled with goodies meant hunger could be slaked and desire for a listening ear satiated.
The love, laughter and caring that she shared with us was infectious and we wanted more. We still do, but alas retirement beckons on her glorious horizon. She will go on to share her lovely person with others beyond The University. We acknowledge with a bittersweet sigh, that without this lovely presence, our day to day life in the QAU will be very different.
Wishing you all the best on re-tiring, Angela.
