METHOD OF REGISTRATION

OPEN CAMPUS
STUDENTS

Registration: Totally on-line at: http://myopen.uwi.edu

Students will be required to register using any computer with Internet access [at home, at an Internet cafe or elsewhere] or at their respective sites

OTHER UWI STUDENTS

Registration: Paper-based (“Cross-Campus Registration Form”)

Students at other campuses will be required to consult their respective faculties for approval before registering for a course. Such students must do the following:

  1. Complete the “Cross-Campus Registration Form” which is available at all Open Campus Sites, or can be downloaded from www.open.uwi.edu/summer/registration-form
  2. Submit the form to the Faculty for approval by the Dean or his/her designate.
  3. Submit ALL documentation to the Assistant Registrar, Recruitment, Admissions & Registration via the Open Campus Site Coordinator, in your various countries

 

NON UWI STUDENTS

Admissions & Registration: Paper based*
(Application For Special Admissions – Summer Only Form”)

These students must do the following:

  1. Must complete the “Application For Special Admissions – Summer Only” form to be admitted to the Open Campus
  2. Submit ALL documentation to the Assistant Registrar, Recruitment, Admissions & Registration via Site personnel at your respective country site.

REGISTRATION / LATE REGISTRATION / CHANGE OF REGISTRATION / ADD/ DROP

  1. There will be NO SPECIFIED ADD/DROP  PERIOD
  2. Registration will remain open from May 10, 2016 – June 3, 2016, during this period ALL students are required to register, to review their registration and report any discrepancies to their Site Coordinators.
  3. Late Registration Fees of US$30 or equivalent in your local currency will be applied to registration and changes to registration from June 4 - 10, 2016.

     

THE DEADLINE DATE FOR REGISTRATION AND CHANGES TO REGISTRATION IS FINAL.

COURSE SELECTION AND COURSE LOAD

During this summer sessions credit load; stipulations and pre-requisite checking will apply:

 

  1. Students can register for a maximum of TWO courses (six credits), including ‘Exams Only’. Academic Board Approval is required to sit Exams Only.
  2. Finalizing students may apply to select a third course via emails to their site coordinators or directly to the registry using ONLY this link: registration@open.uwi.edu. A student is deemed finalizing if that student has a maximum of 4 courses left to complete the degree programme. Ideally all such applications should be made prior to the commencement of the summer session, since all such requests must get the approval of the respective Academic programming unit.
  3. ALL information guides, timetable and registration materials for summer school will be available online. Students are advised to check the website regularly for updates.  (www.open.uwi.edu/summer/home).
  4. For Open Campus students, course selection will be carried out via the Internet in the Student Portal http://myopen.uwi.edu . Students are required to select courses online before making payments.
  5. ALL Non-UWI students can view a list of courses to be offered in the summer session at the website www.open.uwi.edu/summer/home  before completing their respective application form.
