Accreditation - Programmatic/Specialised

Programmatic/Specialised

Programme or specialised accreditation is focused on a specific programme within an institution.  It evaluates the quality of the programme against pre-determined standards and industry requirements for the particular discipline.  The evaluation usually considers, among other things, the objectives of the programme, quality of the teaching and learning, design and planning, assessment and student feedback, learning environment, student learning outcomes, learner support systems, programme reviews and implementation of recommendations, and the quality management system.

During the review process, consideration is given to the effectiveness of  policy-making and implementation,  and the human, material and financial resources which are available to the programme.
