"26 The Film"! Join us with Film maker @studiodanielboyce and the @barbadosredcross for our film screening and discussion this Friday June 30, 7 pm AST.
We will be at the Cynthia Wilson Lecture Theatre, UWI Cave Hill. Refreshments on sale. Donations welcome in support of the Meals on Wheels programme of the Barbados Red Cross.

PROJECT LAUNCH CEREMONY - UWIOC GRENADA/WAND/SAEP

Join us  Wednesday May 31, 2023, 2 pm AST as we host the project launch ceremony for a collaborative project with the UWI Global Campus Grenada Site and the Government of Grenada: "Bridging the Gender Gap in Development Planning Through Continuing Professional Education".
Under this project, WAND is teaching two courses, Gender Analysis for Development Professionals and Gender and Inclusive Development Planning, with over 40 civil servants across the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Social Transformation and Gender Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. This project is made possible by funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
At the launch, you will hear from WAND Course Tutor/Facilitator, Mrs Kelly-Ann Knight, Head of Global Campus Grenada Site, Dr Nicole Phillip-Dowe, Taitu Heron, Head of WAND UWI Global Campus and Dr. Stephen Fletcher - SAEP Programme Manager Ag, and Mrs. Chrisse Worme-Charles: Technical Coordinator Ministry of Social Development- Gender Affairs.

Head of WAND/ Senior Development Specialist, Taitu Heron will be giving a public lecture at the University of Rhode Island courtesy of the Department of Africana Studies and the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies.
Entitled, "What are we fighting for? Navigating Feminist Paradoxes and the Search for Dignity in Gender Equality Work in the Caribbean", the lecture will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 5 pm AST in CBLS Room 10.   See Photo   See Video
