In accordance with the University’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision was taken to postpone all Presentation of Graduate Ceremonies to January 2021.  As such, the 2020 Presentation of Graduates Ceremony for The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus was held virtually on Wednesday, January 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Students graduated from the Open Campus with degrees, certificates and diplomas in a wide range of subject areas.  This year, 407 students participated in the virtual Presentation of Graduates Ceremony (302 Undergraduate, 90 Masters and 15 Doctoral degrees).  Of these, approximately 90 students (including 10 Distinctions in Masters and 24 First Class Honours in Undergraduate degrees) emerged from The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia Site. The first of its kind for the Open Campus, the ceremony served as a memorable event viewed by stakeholders within the Caribbean and beyond.

The official ceremony started at 5:00 p.m. EC and the general public was invited to share in the momentous occasion via live online streaming on the Open Campus’s website at .

Note: Graduates with 1st Class Honours and Distinctions who granted permission for their names to be published, can be found above.

Open Campus Honour Roll

The Campus Honour Roll/List recognizes BSc undergraduate students for their outstanding academic performance in each of the regular semesters during each academic year (Semester 1 and Semester 2)  but not the Third Semester (Semester 3) or Summer School. The inclusion of students' names on the Campus Honour Roll  is one of the ways in which The UWI Open Campus (UWIOC) recognizes excellence. At the end of each semester the names of our students who have achieved a minimum semester Grade Point Average of 3.6 will be published on the UWIOC website. Each student will receive a personalized congratulatory letter from the Dean/Director, Academic Programming and Delivery (APAD).

The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia site boasts, again, of having the highest number of students to achieve this honour at any Open Campus Site.  With more than twice as many students of The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia Site making it to the list this year, Acting Head and staff extend congratulations to them, for their sterling academic performance.
